Everybody Needs To Hear This

So I heard someone say this on TikTok actually but I don’t know what their name is to give them a shout out but yeah. I still think this is such an important thing to know.

“No” is a full sentence

I didn’t really understand this when I had this the first time but then I thought about it for a while and it means so much. Now I am not gonna start going full on English teacher on you. It isn’t like they said ‘full’ instead of ’empty’ or because it is a short sentence. All jokes aside, it means so much and we can learn a lot from this.

So you know the saying ‘no means no’. Well basically this adds on it. Lets act out a situation. Say some person comes up to you, makes you feel uncomfortable and then maybe they ask you to do something you don’t want to do, all you need to say to them is ‘no’. Without saying a reason, without saying anything at all. Because you don’t need to justify your reason. You shouldn’t make up excuses because ‘no’ is all you need to say. And now I know this doesn’t fix anything. This kind of only works in some situations because they can get more violent and at that point saying ‘no’ won’t fix everything. There will still be people who won’t listen to you and I am so sorry for saying that.

I guess just in the end it really means that you don’t need to defend yourself for something you don’t want to do. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed or ashamed or anything like that. And if some person laughs at you asking ‘why?’, you could say if you want but you don’t need to, you can just laugh back at them and say ‘because no’. It kind of is a bit hard to explain but maybe after a while it will make some sense and it will make you more confident when standing up for yourself.

But yeah, this was just a wee short post that hopefully will make an impact in your life. I hope you have a great day, stay safe and stay yourself PERIODT
